[red]I walked a lonely road, The only I had ever known. . .[/red] [green]_______________________________________________________[/green] [/center] [teal]Her life was now better than a dream, a dream made into reality. It was most euphoric that she still couldn't get over the fact that she could have missed such a chance by not being at that beach that day. It was almost creepy. The smile that enlightened Paytah's face enlightened her day too, only his presence would make her day. His soft voice charmed her ears and she closed her eyes half-way. When he uncoiled his body from around her, she felt slightly disappointed, she wanted to stay there all day, snuggled in his protective embrace. But there were other things to do in the day. Her stomach rumbled embarrasingly, and if she could have blushed she would have. She watched as he changed position and admired the beauty of his powerful neck arched as it was. It gave him an alert yet casual look, enhancing the beauty of his charming body. At his words, she smiled. " [blue]Yes, a bit. [/blue]" she said smiling. She got up and stretched, yawning widely. She turned around to wait for Paytah, admiring how graceful comparing to his size he was.[/teal] [/size] [/blockquote]

Paytah’s eyes shot down past her chest when he heard her stomach rumble. He couldn’t help but let a tempting chortle growl gently from in his chest. “I can tell,” He said with a heaving sigh as he picked up his cadaver. He gazed downward and watched his claws sink deep into the soil, trying to get the feeling back in his legs, as he did sleep on them. His mind was focused on other things as he stretched out his body. First things first, he was going to make sure Amara got something to eat. Second, they would probably head over to the beach, just to relax. Nothing had to be done today, so it was a perfect time to unwind and take pleasure in the warm sun.
He let a silent yawn from his maw as he started to walk out of the cave, his long tail dragging against the ground. The early sun had kept the sky pink, they had woken up quite early. Paytah wouldn’t mind going back to sleep, while they were on the beach he might as well take a nap in the warm sand. When he was fully out of the cave, he immediately opened his wings as far as they could go. He closed them after flapping a few times. He usually took a morning flight, but not today. He walked around, his neck up high. He lifted his snout and inhaled the air. Either it was deer of elk…Some kind of four legged herbivore was around. He looked back, his eyes resting on Amara. He gave her a smile before turning and continuing to walk. He continued to glance down at his paws, making sure he wasn’t going to step on something loud.
His wings shifted restlessly on his sides as he weaved through the trees. He lifted his front paw to take another step, but stopped, his body completely frozen. It was a small elk herd, about five or six. All cows, only three calves. None of them were very big, and it wouldn’t fill Paytah up, but it might satisfy Amara’s hungry belly. But then again, she was smaller then him. She could have a big appetite or a small one. His body slowly sank to the ground, but froze every time they cows looked at him. They didn’t appear to be very alert. Their ears were relaxed as well as they eyes, the calves were playing and suckling instead of hiding against their mothers.
His hunting instincts started to kick in and he slowly moved his massive body around the herd, leaving Amara on the other side. He made it over, looking through the grass and trees at Amara. He gave her a signal to go first, by lying down and relaxing his muscles. He was here to make sure he had them blocked off. If she lunged and missed, they would run and crash into Paytah. He could wait to eat; he wasn’t as hungry as he thought. While they were at the beach he could do some fishing. The air and water were where his skills took place. Earth wasn’t his forte. He stumbled a lot, but that was because he never paid attention to where he was going. Shaking the thought of the fish from his mind, he laid his head on the ground and watched Amara hunt.
Comments: APPLES! Mood: APPLES! Thoughts: APPLES! Paytah’s thoughts: Why is she talking about Apples…Anyway… Let’s see how Amara’s hunting skills are.

[red]I walked a lonely road, The only one I had ever known. . .[/red] [green]_______________________________________________[/green] [/center] [teal]A smile ran across her lips at his words, the fact that she was hungry wasn't exactly hard to find out. She was looking forward to a hunt with Paytah, maybe he knew techniques she didn't. A great way to boost her hunting knowledge, which was of the most beginner. But she hadn't had parents to guide her, she had had to learn how to hunt alone. Even if her knowledge on techniques was poor, she was still a good enough hunter to insure her survival. She had an advantage on land, her tiny size making her silent and agile, as well as fast. She followed Paytah to the cave's mouth, stretching her wings as he did, but hovering a few feet from the ground before landing again. Then she concentrated to hear prey, not to smell it. She had a pretty poor sense of smell, but where she lacked scent, she gained in sound. Her ears were amazingly sensitive, hearing things other dragons wouldn't. Her ears picked up the sound of elk hooves on the ground, the sound was too loud for deer. " [blue]Elk. [/blue]" she said as he took a sniff at the air. She didn't bother to confirm with smell, she was sure about her ears. She followed silently as he started off between the trees, placing her paws delicately. No sound was made when her paws placed themselves on the undergrowth. It was easy for her to weave through the trees, her small body size permitting her to slide through tighter fits than Paytah, who's body size was considerably larger. But he had advantage in other domains, like strength and stamina. When he froze, she went around him, and saw the small herd. There were only three calves and all the rest were females, no male to fight back if they took a few of them. She imitated him as he sank to the ground, following his movements by sound, her eyes locked on her prey. Her eyes flicked quickly to Paytah as he started moving around the herd, and she admired how silent he was despite his large size. He got to the other side, and he gave a subtil but meaningful signal. She had to go first. She didn't hesitate, her body coiling and uncoiling at top speed, the cows didn't stand a chance. In the blink of an eye, she had lunged at the largest of the cows. The claws of her front paw sank deep into the cow's hind leg, trapping her. The attack had also made the herd go storming right in Paytah's direction, and she smiled with satisfaction. She ended the cow's bleating, struggle and pain by breaking it's neck with her jaws. The cow became limp and silent. She dropped it to the ground before looking how Paytah's hunt was going. . .[/blockquote] [/size] [/teal]

Paytah watched silently as Amara crept forward. Her smooth carcass moving gracefully along the ground as she stalked the cow. When the Fae leaped forward and attacked, Paytah’s focus was on her, he didn’t even notice the rest of the herd stampeding toward him. It was when a cow tripped over his tail and fell to the ground, was when he noticed. He lifted his head quickly, only to have one of the calves smash into his chest. He pushed it away gently before turning to the cow that had tripped. He was still in a lying position when his talons hooked into the elk’s ribcage. His kill might not have been as humane as Amara’s but he stood up and stepped over, bending his neck and clamping his teeth on the cow’s neck. Within seconds it was dead.
He growled quietly, looking down at the blood stained carcass. Lifting his head, he opened his wings and arched his neck, the light bleeding through his wings. He closed them and snatched his kill in his powerful jaws, lifting the body easily. He walked over to Amara and dropped the elk, along with his body. He hit the ground hard and he let out a groan. “Can we go back to sleep?” He mumbled, closing his eyes. He rolled onto his side, then onto his back, making sure the barbs on his backside were laid down so he didn’t hurt himself. He let his front paws rest on his chest as he looked up at the sky.
Turning his head, he looked at Amara, and instantly gave into a smile. “Eat up,” He said with a chuckle. He left his elk alone while he laid there. He just gazed up at the sky, his tail slowly moving side to side. With another groan, he turning onto his side and crossed his front paws, letting the sun warm his black scales. He arched his neck slightly while he watched Amara eat. “We can go to the river, if you would like.” He suggested, turning and looked away.
Comments: I just realized when he was showing her the Terra he said there was a lake instead of a river. Haha, woops! Thoughts: Got to hurry! Paytah’s thoughts: Say yes, please, I’m begging…Just so I can sleep…

[teal]Amara watched from the side of her kill as the herd started running toward Paytah. He didn't seem to notice before a cow tripped in front of him. She watched with wonder as a calf crashed head long into him, and he just swept it away. He was so humane. The calf still had a life in front of it, and he spared it a prematured death. She started to eat as he walked with his kill toward her. Her surprisingly powerful jaws tore at the skin and flesh, cutting like butter the muscles and tendons. She heard his mumble, and smiled, she too thought she had woken up early. She usually slept to later in the morning, but today she was too excited to have slept longer. He turned on his back, as if to sleep, but she continued to devour her kill.
She finished eating quickly, gulping down anything edible on the carcass. Her stomach was fully satisfied. When Paytah spoke again, she didn't hesitate. " [blue]Yes, I would like to. [/blue]" she said with enthousiasm.

Paytah smiled and rolled back onto his belly, letting his eyes rest on Amara. He bent his neck down and let his teeth sink into the still warm cow. He only tore off a few chunks, the meat sliding down his throat. He wasn’t very hungry, he was too excited. Deciding he would finish it later, he stood, licking his muzzle. Taking this friendship thing a little closer, Paytah turned and nuzzled Amara’s should gently, “Let’s go then,” He said, his head still down next to her. His eyes looked into her, his teal orbs bursting with excitement, yet they were calm and relaxed. He pulled away and leaned down to pick up the cow. It hung limp in his jaws when he stood up and stepped away from Amara, opening his wings. This would be a little difficult. They were in the middle of the trees, and Paytah needed space. Looking up, he was going to try. He stood far from Amara, this was going to be hard enough, and he didn’t want to end up hitting her. Flapping his large wings, he slowly let them take his weight coming off the ground.
He had to flap harder in order to hover, and it was hurting his wings. He bit down harder on his meal and starting pushing his body up. The air current from his wings lifted dust and leaves, engulfing the air in the debris. Paytah was heading up, the tree tops coming closer, oh no. He wasn’t going to make it. Instead of going back down, he pushed himself up and through the trees, his wings pounding so hard he had actually knocked down a tree. When he was clear of the forest, he looked down to see what damaged he caused. He smiled into the cow, seeing he had snapped a tree trunk and sent it to the ground. He looked at Amara, a bit embarrassed, though he waited patiently for her.
He started to fly in small circles, staying in a hovering position was hurting his wings. It was a little difficult already, with his size came great weight. Fly was one of his most favorite things to do, but it was difficult at times.
Comments: Haha, Paytah breaks things! Mood: Stomach ache….so In a bad mood Thoughts: I want some coffee… Paytah’s thoughts: I can’t believe I just knocked down a tree!

[teal]Amara watched as he engulfed a few pieces of meat, but it showed he wasn't hungry. But he seemed to decide not to finish it, and turned to nudge her. She grinned widely, appreciating every contact with him. She felt right at home, even though she would have to adjust to this new life. It had all gone so fast she felt nearly dazed, but she didn't want to dwell on that. Think toward the future, her parents had always said. Her oceanic gaze locked with his, and she saw glimmer of excitement in the sea of his calm orbs. Paytah had such great personality.
When he took his catch and walked away to take flight, she judged it prudent to retreat under the cover of trees. He would need maximum space to get himself off the ground. Amara though was so tiny, she could easily take off in a space twice as small. He extended his wings, and she admired the power that irradiated from him, like waves of heat. Yet, it gave him a majestic look, unbeatable. His body slowly came off the ground, but he wasn't going to make it to the treetop. Yet he kept going, instead of going back down.
He kept going, and burst through the treetop, knocking down a tree. Her jaw dropped in amazement, looking at the tree, which was neatly severed in half. Her expression quickly rearranged, and she burst out laughing. Her shoulders were still shaking as she crouched and launched herself into the air, knocking down no tree. She noticed she had a different take off technique than he did. She jumped off the ground and opened her wings, but he opened his wings and flapped them to get off the ground. She joined him in the air, smiling when he looked at her. He seemed a little embarrassed, but she just thought it funny. " [blue]Nice one, Paytah.[/blue] " she joked. I mean, how many times do you see someone knocking down a tree by sheer flapping?
She hovered, to her it was no problem, being so petite. She smiled at the event that just happened as she waited to go to the river. [/size] [/teal]

Paytah’s smile widened and he rolled his glossy orbs. He nodded his head to the left and turned, flapping his strong wings to push himself through the air. He gazed down, watching the land sweep quickly below him. Soon, the waving sea of green grew into light sand and soon lapping water. They were closer to the river then he had expected. He slowed himself and started to spiral slowly downward. He flapped his massive wings harder as he prepared to touch the ground. The sand engulfed the air from the air current he forced upon the ground. He felt his paws touch solid ground and he stopped flapping. He left his wings open for a moment before letting them fall and rest onto his sides. He lowered his head and dropped the elk, licking the excess blood from his muzzle.
He settled himself down in the sand, the warm sun reflecting off his deep black scales. He closed his eyes for a moment, thinking. Would he and Amara ever become more then friends? He hoped so. Licking his maw again, he reached down and quickly snapped off a piece of warm meat, feeling the food slide down his throat. He pushed the remainders to the side, looking at Amara. Seeing her instantly brought a smile on his maw, and he stretched out. They might as well spend the day here, until they got bored or got hungry.
Sliding his tail across the sand, he dug his claws in deep. Paytah looked around, thinking if he should swim in the water, rest in the sand, or do whatever Amara would like to do. He picked choice three. He looked over at her again and let his smile reappear onto his maw. “Anything in particular you would like to do?” He questioned, his eyes warm and a little excited.

[teal]A smile stretched her lips when he rolled his eyes, and she followed as he turned toward the river. She had an idea of in which direction they were supposed to go, and was glad to have it confirmated. Trees and land whizzed underneath her, and she savoured the wind running across her scales, like a light finger. It didn't bring the same joy than when she was sleeping with Paytah, but it brought even more joy anyway. A sudden idea went across her mind as he started to spiral down toward the river, but instead of slowly lowering down, she dived, gathering more speed by the second.
She was aiming straight for the river, and she plunged into the greenish waters like a javelin, creating little splash. While under the water, she opened her eyes, looking at the myriads of little multi-colored fish zooming around. She smiled, and pushed herself up using her wings as flippers. She burst out of the water, sending it flying everywhere. She lowered herself to the ground, her paws touching the warm sand lightly before her wings came to rest at her sides. The sun reflected on her sapphire scales, lighting up the shades of lighter and darker blue in her hide.
She sat in the warm sand, and at Paytah's question, she smiled. [blue]"Um. . . Maybe dry out in the sun? It's nice and warm. But it's up to you." [/blue] she said with a grin on her features. She licked the water of her maw as she waite for an answer. [/size] [/teal]

Paytah’s mind was elsewhere for a moment. His eyes were focused on Amara, but his thoughts were farther. He was trying to picture the future, would they still be together, or would something happen in the near or distant future that separated them for life? Already the thought of losing Amara was too much to bear. But Paytah was getting ahead of himself. He wasn’t even sure if Amara thought of him more than a friend. He already loved her, in the short time they’ve known each other, just her beautiful personality captured his heart. Thinking of losing her was enough to rip his heart in half. He desperately wanted to tell her, but he couldn’t. It might overwhelm her and he could lose her forever.
He reluctantly pulled himself from his thoughts and let his eyes rest on Amara as she landed in front of him. He hadn’t even seen her dive into the water, but he puzzled it together for an explanation why she was drenched. He smiled and relaxed his eyes, “That works,” He said, a slight chuckle humming his voice. "And it gives us an excuse to snuggle up again," He murmered under his breath, giving Amara a playfully teasing look. He turned his head and licked at his scales a few times before letting his head stretch out and rest in the sand. He was lucky there wasn’t much of a breeze or the sand would attack his eyes, the warm crystals irritating his orbs. He looked around, blinking once. He was thinking of someway, sometime he would confess to Amara. He felt as if he couldn’t hold back any longer, but he didn’t think today was the day.
Lifting his head, his chin rested on his neck and he closed his eyes for a brief moment. He seemed to flash into the future, feeling the sensation overwhelm his carcass. There were two paths, and he could see down each one. The path on the right, he saw a blurred image of him and Amara in the cave. Her face, it was happy, lit up, beautiful. He was smiling too, and they were both looking down. Amara’s back was facing away from him, and they were both looking at something in between them. Slowly a small head came out and a young dark blue dragon crawled up onto Amara’s side. Another, and another, they were hatchlings. They were their hatchlings. A dark blue, a black and a nearly black, purple. They were beautiful.
Seeing that, made Paytah’s large heart jump. But, he looked away at the second path. He saw himself, laying in the entrance of his cave, rain pouring from sad angles eyes. They fell onto his muzzle, his teal eyes worn down. He had been crying? But, Paytah hardly cried, ever. Thunder crashed loudly and rang in Paytah’s ears. He tried to push farther, looking for Amara. She wasn’t there.
Jerking himself quickly away, Paytah couldn’t see that. He didn’t want to see that. He swallowed and blinked his eyes, looking over at Amara. The water drops were rolling down her body slowly, but they made her blue scales glossy and beautiful. Paytah forced a smile on his maw, but seeing himself alone without Amara, the thought was tearing at his mind, and he hated it.Comments: I heard love story on the radio and I instantly thought of Amara and Paytah for some reason. [teal]A smile discovered razor-sharp teeth as Paytah's words reached her. She didn't hesitate this time, and as he lay out on the warm sand, she lay beside him, at ease. She could tell his mind was elsewhere, but she didn't distract him. Herself, she gazed into the future, her and Paytah together, forever. But the little voice at the back of her head came to shatter her serenity. What if he left you? What if he thought you weren't good enough for him? What if. . .She chased the thought from her head, just in time to hear Paytah's large heart jump. Her oceanic eyes opened, and she looked at Paytah, who had a smile on his face. Something about the smile just wasn't right, like that he was thinking about something painful. She didn't enquire further, she just smiled and closed her eyes again.

Paytah’s eyes lightened slightly, but he didn’t smile. He turned his head, his eyes dropping when he looked away. That thoughts, the sight, it was eating him from the inside out. When he looked back, he watched Amara, her eyes closed. She didn’t seem very aware of his sudden attitude change, which was good. He pulled his tail out from between himself and Amara, but dragged it through the sand around her; like it was the night they had slept together. He lifted his head from his neck and laid it in the sand. He had to think, but he tried his best to stay positive. It took everything out of him to force the thought of him and Amara apart; he dwelled on the thought of them with hatchlings. Though if that happened, it would be in the very distant future.
Or at least, in Paytah’s mind it was. I mean, you had to spend years with your mate before you do anything, right? Paytah had never had a partner before. He kept his love contained for the one. The right one for him. The thing that tore him apart the most with Amara was he thought she was it. The one he wanted to be with for the rest of his life. Even after death. The thing that was a problem was he was a few hundred years older than her. This meant he was going to die, far sooner than she was. This meant she was going to be alone… Then again, there was size. He was already as careful as he could possibly be in the sky. One strike with his wing would be enough to snap her neck, or her back, or just knock her clean out of the sky. And, with his size compared to her, having hatchlings would be nearly impossible.
Well, it wouldn’t be impossible. Just, Paytah was so afraid he would hurt her. The last thing he wanted to do. If he ended up hurting her by breeding, or by fighting, or just plain accident, Paytah wouldn’t be able to live with himself. Paytah ripped away quickly from his thoughts when he heard something crash into the water. He nearly stood up, but all he did was sit up. He looked toward the water to see large ripples coming toward shore. His teal eyes were focused on the middle, waiting, watching for whatever made the loud sound. He didn’t speak, but he couldn’t help let a quiet growl come from his throat. It was instinctive for him to growl at things he was suspicious of, because it’s better to frighten it before it attacks. Am I right?
All that came up were bubbles. Paytah continued to glare at the dark blue-green water. After a few minutes of nothing but the caw of seagulls, the sounds of his and Amara’s heart, and the sound of his occasional growl, there was nothing. He slowly sank back in the sand, but lifted a wing and placed it protectively over Amara. If it was something, he would want it to attack himself. Licking his maw once, he broke his gaze and looked down at Amara. Slowly, a real smile crept onto his maw, and he let it rest there, his eyes starting to light again. The sight of her ignited a spark, that was all that was keeping him going. Her.

[teal]Amara couldn't stop picturing their future together, happy, beautiful. For once in her life, gods had blessed her with happiness. It was a beautiful feeling, and the fact that the only time where she had been really happy had been a couple of hundred years ago and that she had almost forgot the feeling of being really happy was doubling the euphoric sensations. Why didn't I feel this before? she thought with wonder. But the answer was there before her, in such evidence, that it seemed almost foolish to ask. She had been missing something all her life, and suddenly, she had it. The world couldn't be a better place in her mind. The world could come to an end, but as long as she had Paytah, she would be happy.
Another thought popped in her head at that moment, and it had a certain appeal. She could just imagine herself, lying in the cave, Paytah's cave with him at her side, looking down at a few beautiful hatchlings. Their hatchlings. That single thought made her smile, her eyes still closed. She didn't know if Paytah saw it, but all she knew was that she was thinking absolutely beautiful things. Beautiful, a word that qualified so many things in her life now. Things like moment, Paytah, home, hatchlings, life. . . Everything was beautiful, except for the fright that kept nagging her brain. What if one of them went away? What if one of them died? What if. . . But the thoughts were too painful to her, she chased them out of her perfect moment. She listened to the beating of their hearts, the steady, reassuring breaths as Paytah breathed, the songs of the birds in the trees. . .
Suddenly, everything went quiet. The only thing she could hear was the reassuring beating and breathing of her companion. Then suddenly a great splash shattered the sudden silence, forcing her eyes open. She felt Paytah sit up, and her head snapped back, ready to attack. A deep growl mounted from Paytah's throat, and she couldn't help thinking how utterly terrifying he must seem to anything other than her. But she, she didn't see him that way. She only saw the charm of his personality, the love he inspired, she could almost write a complete book with all the happiness he provoked.
Bubbles rose to the surface where the splash had been, and she concluded what was down there must have gone. If it was a dragon, she would tear him or her apart for ruining her perfect moment, not that there weren't going to be more perfect moments in the future. A few tense minutes passed, but she felt completely safe in Paytah's company. Hard not to feel safe when you love someone that's the size of small hill. When Paytah slowly sank back into the sand, she gazed up at him, and a smile stretched her lips. The mere sight of him was enough to make her feel incredibly happy, she would never ever be in a bad mood while he was there. It would be when he wasn't there that it wouldn't work. She let her oceanic gaze lock with his, drowning in the beauty of his teal irises.
OCC: A baby girl? Congrats! Personally, I really like the name Savannah. There are also cute little names like Nym or Aliyah. But Sanvannah is one of my favourites.
For some reason, Paytah and Amara's problems made me think of the ones Bella and Edward encountered in Twilight. . . Anyway, stray thought. [/size] [/teal]

Paytah let a sigh escape his maw, eyes occasionally switching to the water. He wanted to know what the splash was; he wanted to know what was in his home. An intruder perhaps, possibly not the best idea for an trespasser, coming into his land. He blinked his eyes, trying to forget it, and he slowly looked down to the beautiful Fae at his side. He gave her a soft smile, his eyes still sparking with excitement, yet his body was calm. “That was a bit odd,” He said, closing his eyes for a few seconds before opening them again.
He looked up, watching the clouds press against each other, forming into one large one. He kneaded randomly into the sand as he turned his head and looked to the west. He blinked in surprise, far off in the distance; slowly lumbering its way toward them was a large black cloud, swallowing the blue sky. Later today, obviously, it would rain. It would pour from the sky. Suddenly, every muscle in Paytah’s body tensed up and he growled loudly. He quickly stood up, standing completely still and gazing up at the sky. He continued to growl, stopping only to get in another breath. Each snarl he emanated got louder and louder.
He turned and started to walk toward the water, his head still tilted up watching the sky. Something wasn’t right. He could smell it. Another dragon was here. Without any warning, Paytah’s body crashed onto the ground, a large weight on his back. Jerking his body, he felt claws ripping and digging to get under his scales to his flesh. The two dragons roared and snarled as Paytah spun around, snapping his teeth trying to get a hold of the dragon’s neck.
It was a large red dragon, about the same size as Paytah. Obviously, he wanted this land to himself. Paytah was on the ground and on his back, it wasn’t the best position when he had to hold his paws against the dragon’s chest and they ripped at each other’s necks. The male dragon snarled so loud it drowned out Paytah’s. The black dragon was able to jerk the body off and stand up. Blood seeped from his sides where the dragon had snapped chunks of flesh from his body. The other dragon’s wounds were far worse than Paytah’s.
Paytah snarled, lifting his wings and baring his teeth. His jaws snapped open and he let out a roar that felt as if it shook the ground. Along with that, flames burst from his open jaws. He couldn’t tell if he hit the dragon or not, but he kept the inferno going. When he finally ran out of breath he staggered backward, finding himself ankle deep in water. He stood, his body swaying, trying to stay upright, but all the pain was sinking in. His teal eyes were filled with anger and hate as he glared at the body on the ground. It was dead.
He slowly lifted his head, looking at Amara. Blood dripped from his muzzle, as his wings dropped from his sides into the water. When his orbs had fully come in contact with Amara, they were filled with sorrow and solemn. His body started to tilt to the left, and he didn’t bother to catch himself when he toppled over into the water. His body lay limp, his eyes drooping slightly. That fight took much out of him. It was the fight itself, if Paytah hadn’t blown fire he would be upright and walking. But it was a condition that was passed down from his mother. When he breaths fire, it tired his body to the point of collapsing, and sometimes it gets so bad he can’t move for days. It’s something he’s had to live with, and it had been years since he had ignited sparks like that, so using all of it at once ruined him. He would have to try and remember what his father did to help his mother when this happened. For now, he couldn’t think. His eyes weren’t locked with Amara’s, which he wanted. They were stuck on the dead body on the beach. He couldn’t look away. He couldn’t hear, he couldn’t hear his thoughts. He lay, motionless, his breathing shallow. It hurt. It hurt to breath. His head tilted in the water so he could breathe without the water.
Comments: I had a dream of this and I just had to share! Oh, and by the way, I’m calling her Leah! And just to let you know, it’s not a real baby, haha. It’s a project where you have to take it for a few days to know what it’s like to be a parent. I get it for four days, and I keep getting people confused, telling them I’m having a baby. But it’s just something for a class, it cries, needs to be fed, burped, held, changed, all that good stuff. Oh, and about the Twilight thing, it kida is! ;D Mood: Hurts to breath, (Got the whole hurts to breath thing for Paytah, was happening to me so I just added it) Thoughts: I wonder what it’ll be like to be a parent. Paytah’s thoughts: Can’t think.

[teal]A warm feeling spread through Amara's body when he smiled, like a hot coal sliding down her throat. She returned his smile with pure joy, her blue orbs sinking into his. He closed his eyes, and she followed, resting in pure peace and tranquility. The splash was forgotten to her, but at Paytah's words, a jab of curiosity spiked her mind. Yes, that was a bit odd, normally there weren't any fish that produced a splash so loud.
Her eyes closed again, and she imagined their future again. Such lovely thoughts were going in her head, she was brought down to earth when she felt Paytah's muscles tense up. Her eyes snapped open, and she looked to Paytah with worry. In the meantime, he was snarling and each snarl seemed to get louder. Over the racket he was making, Amara managed to hear the whistling of wind, as if something was plummeting to earth at great speed. That wasn't right, it must be another dragon.
Before she could react, a large red dragon had dropped onto Paytah, and she leapt to her feet. As the red dragon started to attack her love, she felt every hit like a wound to herself. [blue] "Paytah!" [/blue] she screamed shrilly. Her muscles tensed and she leapt at the red dragon, her jaws sinking into it's hind leg. But she was too small, too feeble to drag it off Paytah. Anger built like a bomb inside her, a bomb menacing to explode at any moment. Yet, an oppressing feeling of weak powerlessness dug through her brain as she tried in vain to distract it. Her claws dug into the dragons hind leg.
Finally, Paytah managed to get up, and she let go of the red dragon's leg, only to bear down on it's back. The red dragon's wounds were far worse than Paytah's but still, she felt sick with worry. The only thing she cared about was that Paytah lived. She would tear the other dragon apart all by herself if she had to. Anger blinded her vision, yet she kept tearing at his back and tail as Paytah tore at his neck.
Paytah stepped backwards slightly, and she felt he was going to do something, so she leapt into the air and landed in the water some distance away. She was right, and Paytah opened his formidable jaws. A deafening roar weaved out of his maw, along with a column of flames. She saw the red dragon recoil, and finally slump to the ground. Yet, Paytah kept the flames going, until finally he stopped to catch his breath. But something was wrong, she saw that immediately. She streaked toward him, water splashing everywhere, washing the blood of her maw.
He crashed heavily on his flank, and horror filled her from the tail to the top of her head, seeming to turn her blood to ice. [blue]"Paytah!" [/blue] she screamed again. His body was limp, his eyes dropped, and for an instant, she feared the worst. Her ears strained for any sound of breathing, and relief swept through her body. She was trembling, trembling so hard her vision was blurred. Heavy sobs were echoing somewhere, but yet, they were the only ones here. It took her a while to understand she was the source of the sobs. Tears were splasing down her cheeks, and enormous sobs echoed from her chest.
She arrived to Paytah's side, looking at his beautiful teal eyes, praying feverishly in hope that this was all a nightmare, and that she was going to wake up. Her oceanic orbs, dulled with despair, forced into his, wanting him to lift his head and give her that smile that reassured her so much. It took her a while to get a grip on herself. Her mind divised quickly how she could help him, and she leapt into action. She lifted a big rock from the shore, and dragged it near Paytah's head. Gently, with uttermost care, she lifted his head and slid the rock underneath, so that he didn't spend energy keeping his head out of the water.
She could hear his shallow breathing, and her eyes slid to the wounds on his side. Her intellect streaked like lightning over the medicinal plants she knew. One appeared in her mind, and she hoped with all her heart she could find some. She rouched and lept into the air, before zooming over the forest in search of the plant. She found some, to her great relief and whizzed back to Paytah. She ground the herbs with stones before carefully laying the mixture over Paytah's wounds. But that was all she could do.
She looked over him with powerless abandon, finally laying next to him. Her blue orbs watched with alert for anything that could harm him. She was determined to lay there as long as it took for him to recover, her head bending down every now and then to lick his cheek.
OCC: Leah, what a lovely name. Oh right! It's a school project lol. Here was me thinking you were going to have a real baby! Well, that seems interesting. A taste of parenthood! [/size] [/teal]
